Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1969 that delivers integrated health, education, and human services to multicultural communities across the Southwest, with a primary presence in New Mexico. The organization operates approximately 100 programs, serving many individuals who live at or below the federal poverty level, and it provides care regardless of a person's ability to pay.
PMS's service portfolio is broad, encompassing medical care, dental care, behavioral health services, early childhood education (including Head Start programs), early intervention services, senior services, and developmental disability support. This integrated model allows the organization to address a wide range of community needs under one umbrella.
The organization works collaboratively with community groups, school districts, local providers, hospitals, and governments to deliver its services. Its work spans the healthcare, education, human services, and community development sectors.
