Stand Together is a philanthropic community established in 2003 by Charles Koch. Based in the United States, it partners with social entrepreneurs to address the root causes of some of America's most pressing problems across areas including education, economic opportunity, criminal justice, free speech, and community development.
The organisation provides its partners with funding, access to a broad network, and a framework for applying proven principles to their work. Its community includes thousands of nonprofit leaders, business leaders, philanthropists, civil rights leaders, and grassroots activists.
Stand Together operates on a bottom-up empowerment model, guided by principles of dignity, openness, mutual benefit, and self-actualisation. The organisation uses a management approach called Principle Based Management™ and aims to support a society in which everyone has the opportunity to lead a life of meaning by benefitting others.
