ZERO Prostate Cancer is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization founded in 1996, dedicated to providing resources, programs, advocacy, support, and education related to prostate cancer. The organization's work is driven by the fact that early detection of prostate cancer leads to a nearly 100% five-year survival rate, and it aims to improve and save lives across the country.
The organization runs several key programs. Its Drive Against Prostate Cancer initiative has tested more than 130,000 at-risk men for the disease. The ZERO Run/Walk fundraising series, active since 2007, has raised over $32 million for prostate cancer testing, research, and education. Additionally, its Blitz the Barriers initiative is investing $20 million into communities disproportionately affected by prostate cancer.
Following a merger with Us TOO International, ZERO Prostate Cancer now supports a network of more than 200 support groups. This network operates within the context of approximately 3.3 million men currently living with prostate cancer in the United States.
